Boys Running…. Vermont

Sounded like a fun day.  Drive some friends to beautiful Vermont in the fall so they can run a race and drink some beers…….

Pre-race shot…. This was when the whining about the cold and snow started and the joy/benefits of post run beers began to fade.

Mike helping Mazza smile… since he was recovering from an illness and hasn’t run in months.

IPhone Picture of Mike…. the most photogenic person in the world.

Heavy to lug around digital camera picture of Mike…..

I missed Jeff’s stretching exercises, but I was told the young ladies admired Grandpa’s flexibility.

Trying to get a picture of the boys at the starting gate was impossible…. so lets jump ahead to the action.  Got a spot near the finish line…. this Chedderhead was flying..even with the .096 drag coefficient of his stylish lid.

Jeff was the fist to round the bend… hiding behind the woman with the red sweatband.  His hat and glasses combination made him look like a Secret Service Agent.

Mike was next…. he actually growled at that little kid.

Mark arrived wearing way less clothes then he left with.  His speed motivator for the race was making sure he did not get beat by the guy behind him who looked like Sasquatch.

I took this picture of Hops Man…. then noticed Mazza was following him….. quietly chanting “beer beer beer!”  He found his motivation and followed it.

Mazza can now see the brewery in all of its glory.

The final kick….

“Beer Beer Beer”

We salute you:  Ironic man who runs a beer sponsored race as a giant hop…

They had some beers… like the weather and the course the cans were cold and the beer smelled like wet grass.  Ed recommended Mad Taco.  As our Travel Bible tells us, EKF… Ed Knows Food!

Mark even happier after seeing the wide ranges of beer on tap.  🙂

Summary:  Great day with fun people and beer.  My wife complains that there are no photos of me ever, so here is a cold selfie.  I got to play with some new camera gear, got some new Pokemon, and got to hang out with my lifelong friends….. and Jeff.   🙂   Jeff added a new element to the group… he actually interacted with people.

Holly made me a Designated Driver shirt….. which turned out to be helpful when ordering beers.
